General vacancy: Excellent Offshore Renewable Engineers
We have a general vacancy for any excellent hard core engineers that want to make a difference in the offshore renewable sector, and are interested in working for a scale up that invents, designs and operates innovative offshore tooling.
Next year, Seaqualize will rent out our Heave Chiefs for 2 projects in the United States, which pushes our company to the forefront of innovative, offshore proven technologies. Technologies that intend to make offshore wind energy more cost effective and thus competitive.
To support this, our team is growing quickly. But we also want to grow more diverse, and that’s where we are not yet succeeding enough.
We therefor want to encourage hard-core MSc. engineers (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, naval, offshore, maritime, mechanical etc.) to reach out and come discuss a possible future with Seaqualize!
We’re looking for talent that has both a strong theoretical base and practical experience. You know what it takes to develop offshore equipment, and are enthusiastic about learning outside of your direct field of expertise. You can engineer your way out of complex problems, using your own ideas, and your keen offshore practical insights: what works, and what doesn’t?
Required skillset
- Able to multitask, as several sub-projects will happen at the same time!
- Can-do mentality: eager to find solutions, i.s.o. identifying problems
- Comfortable with developing well written documentation. Eye for detail and consistency.
- Flexibility, inventiveness, enthusiasm, self-reliance
- BSc. or MSc in engineering, preferably with 2+ years experience in the offshore sector. At the same time, you will be supported by colleagues with 7+ experience in the field, so plenty opportunity to learn as well
- Concise and precise
- Excellent knowledge of English, preferably speak/understand a bit of Dutch as well

Seaqualize is a technical innovation & startup lab, located in Utrecht, The Hague and Rotterdam. We are strong in inventing, developing and integrating applications of our patented Balanced Heave technology. All applications of our technology are found at the intersection of mechatronics, hydraulics, pneumatics and control technology. We are a small (20 people) and young company that acts quickly, work pragmatically, and that offers a lot of responsibility and freedom to develop your own ideas, from scratch until offshore proven.
